How to buy tickets for the 2017 Festival

back to buy tickets now

Tickets go on sale to Festival Friends on Monday 21st August and to the general public on Monday 4th September.

Concession prices are for young people (aged 12-25 inclusive) and those in receipt of state pension or benefits.
Seats are generally not numbered and are unreserved. Once purchased, tickets may not be refunded or exchanged.
Children under 12 accompanied by a paying adult are admitted free, but you must obtain a child ticket.
There are 5 ways to buy tickets for most concerts promoted by Brighton Early Music Festival:

  1. E-tickets - you purchase these from www.bremf.org.uk, print them on your own printer and bring them to the concert together with the credit card with which you made the purchase. There is no booking fee for e-tickets.
  2. Online Box Office tickets - you purchase these online but have the tickets issued to you either by mail or on the door. These are a practical solution if you are buying for people who may arrive at the concert separately from you (and your credit card - see above) or if you cannot easily print your own tickets. There is a handling charge of £2 per transaction for online Box Office tickets.
  3. By post using the form in the brochure or printed off from the virtual brochure on this website. (£2 handling charge).
  4. By phone (transaction fee £2.50) or in person (no fee) from the Brighton Dome Ticket Office, Church Street, Brighton BN1 1UE (01273 709709), open Mon-Sat 10am to 5pm. Season Tickets and registration to workshops (Events 1, 4, 5 and 7) cannot be purchased at Brighton Dome Ticket Office.
  5. On the door at the concert - although some events may sell out – so we would recommend booking tickets in advance.

Please note that registration for workshops is in a separate section of this site.

Before commencing your booking we suggest you look at our special offers and Terms and Conditions

This year, we will continue to offer Prom Tickets. These are available only on the door for £5 and depending on the venue will allow either restricted view seats or standing/floor sitting space.

1) Buying E-tickets online from this website

  • There is no booking fee for online ticket purchases if you print your own e-tickets. This must be done at the time of purchase. If you are booking for people who will arrive at an event separately from you, we suggest that you use Option 2 below.
  • Your computer must be connected to a printer with enough A4 size paper to print one sheet per event and one summary sheet.
  • Our "buy tickets page" lists all tickets and their prices for all concerts.
  • Type the number of each ticket type you wish to buy in the appropriate box.
  • Click on the e-ticket option near the bottom of the page.
  • "Click to see total" to see the price you will be charged, including any discount (see special offers).
  • Fill in the relevant boxes for each event if you want free tickets for children under 12. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • When you are happy with your choices, "click to purchase" to connect to our Secure Trading payment page - you can pay by VISA, Mastercard, American Express or Maestro/Solo.
  • When you have been transferred to our Secure Trading payment page, fill in the payment and personal details, and click "Send payment".
  • We use Mastercard Secure Code and Verified by VISA - so you may have to use your password - but options will be presented if you have forgotten it.
  • If your transaction is successful, a screen will display your e-tickets, and a button to click to print them. Please print them immediately by clicking the "Print this webpage" button - we hope the formatting doesn't result in excess paper use like some websites!
  • You will also receive a confirmatory email.
  • If you have any problems in printing your tickets, you can display them again at any time. Visit www.bremf.org.uk/reprint and enter your ST reference number - see your confirmatory email - and the last four digits of your credit card. Or email tickets17@bremf.org.uk
  • Tickets are sold subject to availability. If any tickets you ordered are not available, we will contact you to see if you would like a different price ticket for the same concert. If not, we will refund you the amount you paid for the unavailable ticket.
  • If you have any problems with ordering tickets online, please do one of the following:
    • email: tickets17@bremf.org.uk

2) Buying Box Office tickets from this website

You will need to do this if

  • you can't or don't wish to print your own e-tickets online
  • you are buying for people who will arrive at the concert separately from you and thus require their own ticket(s).

For Box Office tickets you will be charged a £2 handling fee, which will be added automatically to your purchase. For this option, complete the ticket selection procedure described under Option 1 and then tick the "post/hold my tickets " button. If there are more than 14 days to go until your first concert, your tickets will be posted to you. Otherwise, they will all be held for you at the door of your first concert.

  • Send these details with a cheque for the total cost of any tickets plus £2 payable to "BREMF", to the following address:
BREMF Tickets, 65 Cuckfield Road, Hurstpierpoint, W Sussex, BN6 9RR.

4) From the Brighton Dome Ticket Office

You can purchase tickets by phone from the Dome Ticket Office on 01273 709709. This will incur a transaction fee of £2.50.
If you visit in person, you will not be charged a booking fee. The Dome Ticket Office, Church Street, Brighton, BN1 1UE,  is open Mon-Sat 10am to 5pm.

Season Tickets cannot be purchased at Brighton Dome Ticket Office.

5) At the door at concerts
