Brighton Early Music Festival is seeking a creative and visionary artistic director to continue the festival’s key aim of making music from the past 1000 years relevant and exciting for audiences of today.

This is a freelance role, with a closing date of 11 September 2024.

Founded in 2002 by current Artistic Director Deborah Roberts BEM and co-founder Clare Norburn, Brighton Early Music Festival is one of the largest and most progressive early music festivals in the UK and is seen as a leading force in the early music world. The festival has a well-deserved reputation for being welcoming and approachable for both artists and audiences alike, and for the innovation and creativity of its programming.

We are seeking a visionary new artistic director on a freelance basis, amounting to around 60 days work per annum at a daily rate of £200-300, dependent on experience and skills.
