Recently we spent a day at Woods Mill nature reserve filming recorder player Piers Adams and Sussex Wildlife Trust naturalist James Duncan for our programme Bird Charmer, to be shown on 31 October.
This programme takes a look at some of the common songbirds of Sussex, with James giving fascinating insights into their behaviour and songs, and features some of the music for recorder inspired by songbirds in the past. We’re very excited about this new collaboration with Sussex Wildlife Trust, which cares for nature and wildlife in Sussex, and hope to continue working with them in the future. Our plan for the programme doesn’t include farm animals, but the cows at Woods Mill had other ideas!
